According to the police, the car carrying a Luxembourgish registration plate ignored the right of way when turning from a side street onto the high street and hit a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist died on the spot. Due to police and clean-up operations, the road was closed until midnight.
German emergency services were on the scene, as well as a Luxembourgish Air Rescue helicopter.
