On Saturday evening, a fight broke out in the street in Bergkamen, Germany, with multiple participants. One of them, a 40-year-old man, sustained such serious injuries that he died at the scene, despite resuscitation attempts, according to reports published by the police and the Dortmund prosecutor on Sunday.
A second person was hospitalised with serious injuries.
Four people were provisionally arrested. According to the investigation, the reason for the fight is yet to be clarified.
Initial reports suggest a verbal exchange was had by the participants, which later turned physical. The police said it was possible a knife was involved.
