A major police operation unfolded Friday morning at a vocational school in Essen, Germany, after a teacher was stabbed, local police said on X. The victim was taken to hospital for emergency surgery, though the severity of her injuries remains unclear.
Initial reports indicate the attacker was a student. Police said the suspect was “without doubt” identified following a pursuit, during which officers shot him. He is currently receiving medical treatment.
