On Tuesday, the Namur public prosecutor’s office confirmed that a Luxembourg resident born in 1966 died in an accident on the E411 on Monday evening.
The accident occurred near Villers-sur-Lesse (Rochefort). The man was driving towards Luxembourg when he hit the back of a semi-trailer.
The vehicle rolled over several times before coming to a stop on its roof. The public prosecutor’s office said it appears the victim was distracted by using his phone whilst driving.
The motorway had been closed briefly following the accident, causing several kilometres of tailbacks.
