Vienna police responded to an unusual call on Friday night after a taxi driver reported a passenger who had fallen asleep in his vehicle and would not wake up. The passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Luxembourg, became increasingly aggressive when officers managed to rouse her, refusing to pay her fare.

As the situation escalated, she began kicking and hitting the officers, prompting them to restrain her. Due to her combative behavior, police were unable to conduct an alcohol test, but they stated that she appeared to be “heavily intoxicated”.

After being taken into custody and questioned, the woman expressed remorse for her actions. The Vienna prosecutor’s office later decided to release her.
