Born in Luxembourg, raised in Portugal, the 40-year-old owns a significant real estate portfolio between Braga, where he resides, and Famalicão, where several of his properties are located. Those who know him describe him as a man with a "direct" temperament, who "doesn't back down", explaining his reaction to the theft.
He was reportedly in Lisbon on a business trip when thieves stole his €100,000 Rolex watch. He promptly gave chase in his car, despite the fact some of the group were armed.
The chase ended when one of the thieves was knocked off their motorbike by the car belonging to the watch's owner. The thief ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
