According to Reuters, the three banks embroiled in the lawsuit include the United Arab Emirates’ First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Saudi Arabia’s Samba Bank, and the Luxembourg-based Banque Havilland.

The lawsuit claims that the three banks attempted to artificially destablise the Qatari currency on American markets as part of the Arabic boycott against Qatar two years ago.

Banque Havilland has denied any involvement in currency manipulation, stating that “the Bank has launched an independent forensic investigation on the matter led by external legal counsel.”
