Footage from Leeds’ Hyde Park shows dozens of students pelting each other with snowballs after heavy snowfall.
The event was billed as a fight between students at the University of Leeds and their rivals at Leeds Beckett University.
While event organisers called on attendees to wear face masks and respect social distance, their actions were strongly criticised online, with the UK currently in the midst of a national lockdown.
