
You may not have heard the name, but Francesco Rivella’s prodcuts were on household shelves around the globe. The Italian chemist credited with being the inventor of the worldwide phenomenon has unfortunately passed away. He died at the age of 97, on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2025.
Originally joining Ferrero in 1952, 12 years before Nutella was created in its final form. He worked in the chemistry room and contributed to iconic Ferrero products like Ferrero Rocher and Kinder.
