The boat sank near the French town of Gerstheim, killing two adults and one child, aged six. The search for the remaining child had been suspended several days prior to the discovery of her body. The four-year-old’s body was found on the German side of the river, according to the prefecture in charge of the investigation.
The small inflatable boat capsized on Thursday near Gerstheim, some 30 kilometres south of Strasbourg.
