The incident dates back to April 2018. A man in his thirties was speeding at 234 km/h on the A604 near Seraing in Belgium. The man shared the footage on Facebook - and ended up in court in Liege last March.

His lawyer said that his client was “passionate about cars, found the video on Instagram, and posted it in a Facebook group as a joke.” The judge, however, this not believe this excuse as there was damning evidence that the accused has been the person behind the wheel.

He was sentenced to a €2,400 fine and his driver’s license was suspended for 6 months.
