The accident occurred shortly before 7am on Thursday morning. While help was quickly rendered, the woman’s life unfortunately could not be saved and she died at the scene. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
The accident resulted in train disruptions on both tracks of the line which lasted for over three hours, according to SNCF. Traffic gradually resumed at 10.15am.
