Although there are no recent studies linking anti-inflammatory medication with an increased mortality rate for Covid-19, WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier said paracetamol was recommended to ease symptoms, rather than ibuprofen.
Experts are currently investigating the claims, while Lindmeier advised patients to consult a doctor with any concerns in comments made during a press conference in Geneva on Tuesday.
