The Norwegian cargo vessel which ran aground in the Suez Canal on Monday has successfully been refloated with only minor delays in canal traffic expected.

According to the Joint Coordination Centre, the Glory is listed as transporting over 65,000 metric tonnes of corn from Ukraine to China.

Several Suez Canal Authority tug boats worked to re-float the shipping vessel.

It’s not clear at the moment what caused the Glory to run aground, however certain parts of Egypt did experience rough weather on Sunday.
