Lufthansa will face continued disruptions on Wednesday and Thursday as cabin crew members join an ongoing strike action.

Following a strike by Lufthansa pilots that caused major disruptions in German air traffic over the past few days, the airline’s cabin crew will now walk out as well. The industrial action is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, starting at midnight. It will thus directly follow the pilots’ strike, which took place on Monday and Tuesday.

As a result, all Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt to Munich are likely to be cancelled. Flights operated by the sister airline Cityline from Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Bremen, Stuttgart, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Berlin, and Hanover are also expected to be affected.

The cabin crew union, which represents approximately 18,000 employees, is striking for better working conditions at Lufthansa. Meanwhile, the strike at Cityline is aimed at a social plan for around 800 staff members who could lose their jobs in 2027, when the sister airline’s operations are scheduled to be wound down.

As of Monday evening, it remained unclear whether flights to Luxembourg would also be affected by the cabin crew strike.
