The NHS worker, 58, organised a holiday to the North Atlantic island with the intention of proposing to his partner Patsy Murdoch, also 58.
After his holiday was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Ormsby had to change plans.
He instead settled for a different Iceland: the British supermarket chain of the same name.
Luckily for him, she said yes, and their story has now gone viral.
