German police recovered a body on Sunday afternoon near the Moselle cycle path, just minutes from the Luxembourg border near Wasserbillig.
According to authorities, a passerby discovered the male body and alerted emergency services, prompting a large-scale police operation.
The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. The criminal police have launched an investigation to determine the cause.
At this stage, officials have not released further details and have requested no inquiries be made out of respect for the deceased.
