Louvain’s public prosecutor’s office now started a judicial inquiry against the Keerbergen resident. The latter is accused of displaying Nazi symbols outside his home.
According to Belgian media, the 75-year-old culprit was no stranger to the authorities. Back in 2014, a very similar complaint had already been lodged against him.

“There are enough elements to file a new complaint. [...] the inhabitant placed antisemitic messages in his trees, clearly visible to the public,” a representative of Unia Belgium explained.
If the man is found to be in violation of the Belgian Holocaust denial law, he faces up to one year behind bars.
