Video - fire tornadoBeach evacuated as wind turns NYE bonfire into fire tornado in Netherlands

RTL Today
The town of Scheveningen in the Netherlands, not far from the Hague, has two traditional beach bonfires for New Year's Eve, in which two parts of the town compete for the biggest bonfire.

Due to the windy weather, one of the bonfires spiralled out of control and into chaos. As the below Twitter video shows, the fire and wind combined into small tornadoes over the sand dunes.

The fire and heat caused a substantial threat to people’s safety, which in turn led to the beach and the surrounding area being evacuated as firefighters worked to extinguish the tornadoes.
