But it has sparked concern that asbestos dust could be floating around.

White House advisers, including first daughter Ivanka Trump, senior adviser Kellyanne Conway, and policy aide Stephen Miller, were temporarily moved out of their White House offices during renovations. Abestos may be in the ceiling and attic on the second floor of the West Wing. But a US General Services Administration spokesperson said that the move is “precautionary” and there is no known danger to White House workers.

The White House, like many older buildings across the nation, may be tainted with asbestos. It used to be a common insulation material. Business Insider describes asbestos as "...a fibrous, mineral-based building material that is toxic to humans when inhaled. It is linked to lung cancer.”
