According to German authorities, officers responded to an emergency call around 8.30pm, coming from a residential building on Saarstraße. Upon arrival, they heard the woman calling for help from inside.
Inside the apartment, police found the victim with serious stab injuries. She received immediate medical attention.
Investigators suspect the woman’s 43-year-old partner is responsible. He has been on the run since Sunday evening, and a manhunt is underway.
