A man in Saarland set the world record for most puzzle pieces put together in 99 days.

Hans-Josef Schaadt, who lives in Oberkichen in Saarland, put 54,000 puzzle pieces together in just 99 days. Thereby he beat the previous world record of 137 days, according to data by the Record Institute for Germany (RID).

The 62-year-old now holds the world title. He began his adventure on 1 October 2023 by piecing together countless smaller puzzles, and placed the final puzzle piece on 7 January 2024.
