According to a statement form the Marche-en-Famenne prosecutor's office, the woman suffered a 'violent death' and an investigation into her murder has been launched.
According to Belgian media, the woman lived by herself and was found by a nurse during a home visit on Wednesday. Both the police and the prosecution were alerted to the body and investigation has since been opened.
