On 27 June, the federal government implements the next phase of its Summer Plan.
Here are the new rules across Belgium:
- Social contact: up to eight people inside, excluding members of the same household and children up to the age of 12. This also applies to family holidays in tourist accommodation;
- Shopping: No limit to number of customers, but face masks remain mandatory;
- Restaurants & bars: Up to eight people per table (children up to the age of 12 not included), closing time extended to 1am, plexiglass can be used to separate guests and are an alternative to 1.5m distance;
- Ceremonies: Up to 200 people indoors and 400 people outdoors;
- Events: Up to 2,000 attendees, with an increase to 4,000 for tests events. 2,500 max outdoors, with 5,000 for test events. The obligation to wear a face mask at outdoor events is waived if people are seated.
