French border new papers neededPermit for commute due to professional reasons has changed

RTL Today
The French government has launched a new certificate to make border crossing easier for employees and employers.

Since the implementation of containment measures, a certificate proving the need to cross the border for cross-border workers residing in France is now compulsory.

The permit must be completed by the employer and presented by the employee in the event of Luxembourg border checks.

This weekend, the government released a new version of this professional certificate. It can be downloaded here in PDF format , here in DOC format , and here in TXT format.

This professional certificate is “simpler” than the previous one. It includes a “period of validity” box, which allows employers not to have to renew it every day.

In addition, employees carrying this certificate will no longer need to provide themselves with an individual travel certificate.

INDIVIDUAL EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE

However, the “individual travel certificate” remains unchanged. It is essential for those who want to move to France.

The document must in particular indicate the reason for the trip and the date.
