Some people take their anger out at speed cameras in Facebook comments, others focus their ire on...vandalising the cameras in question. Let's obviously stick to Facebook rants, folks.
The 'super radar' over on Route d'Arlon in Thionville (France) has been subject to yet more vandalism. The speed camera based between the Leclerc roundabout and Kinépolis was torn down over Friday night. Found on the ground on Saturday morning, those in charge with decommissioning it simply cut it out at the base.
The up-to-date speed camera is capable of flashing multiple vehicles at the same time and cost €200,000, albeit the sum does not factor in reparations. The weekend fiasco is not the first time the speed camera was damaged. Only weeks after being installed in April 2018, the radar was destroyed.
