'The madder the Hulk gets, the stronger the Hulk gets', says British Prime Minister in an Interview with the Mail on Sunday.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be in Luxembourg this Monday, 16 September for an official lunch meeting with Jean Claude Juncker and chief negotiator Michel Barnier, followed by a brief meeting with Xavier Bettel.
One day before his visit to the Grand Duchy, Johnson found a rather unconventional way of describing his position in the UK by likening himself to no other than the Incredible Hulk. In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, the British PM highlights the UK will leave the EU on 31 October with determination. According to Johnson, 'the madder the Hulk gets, the stronger the Hulk gets'. He also tells the Mail on Sunday that 'Hulk always escaped, no matter how tightly bound in he seemed to be – and that is the case for this country.'
Johnson claims he has made enormous progress in renegotiating an agreement with the EU, particularly in terms of the Northern Irish border. Whilst a lot of work is yet to be completed before the EU council on 17. October, Johnson is confident he will leave the summit with an agreement. EU representatives, however, remain skeptical.
