The police took the man into custody on Wednesday, as he had attempted to poison an entire family from Rüdesheim last week. The criminal police in Wiesbaden confirmed that the 48-year-old had sprinkled a potentially fatal poison over the food of the family.
This is not the first time that the man has attempted to murder others. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison for attempted murder in Bavaria in 2001.
The victims of the man’s attempted poison knew the man, who had previously been taken into custody in November for damaging the family’s property. The man will face a trial for attempted murder, although the motive has not yet been established in the investigation.
