A ‘car deal’ apparently went wrong in the Vierge neighbourhood, which local newspaper Vosgien describes as ‘popular’.
After an initial argument the situation took a violent turn as a knife was wielded, which was followed by the intervention of one of the young men’s father who arrived on the scene with a riffle. This series of events led to the death of a 23-year-old who ‘had nothing to do with the story’ and who simply wanted to ‘calm the situation’, according to a witness.
Upon arrival of the emergency services, the victim was in cardio-respiratory arrest. Despite the efforts of the firefighters, the young man could not be revived. He died on the spot.
On Sunday night, an important security feature was drawn up to find the gunman who was finally arrested and is currently in custody.
