
Yulia Sharko, whow was celebrating her 21st birthday in the village of Staroe Selo in Belarus on the day of the accident, was trying to lift her 2-year-old baby out of the car from the half open front seat window.
As she was pulling the toddle from the stationary BMW, the toddler pressed the automatic switch that consequently closed the car window.
The mother’s air supply was cut off, police said. She was rushed to Brest regional hospital after her husband found her unconscious soon after the accident.
She passed away eight days after the incident. A local report said that “her brain suffered irrversibly due to to clamped arteries.”
Police are investigating the circumstances of the young mother’s death.
