The young boy was arrested in Glasgow after the assault had been reported to police. Police are continuing to investigate the case.
A spokesperson explained that a “report has been sent to the Children’s Reporter.” A spokesman for Glasgow City Council added: “As this is a police investigation it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
The school where the incident happened has not been identified.
