All Luxembourgish RTL programmes that are currently available on FM/UKW (with the exception of local radios) will be broadcast on DAB+ as of 1 December. In addition, five new stations that were not previously available terrestrially in Luxembourg, including RTL Today Radio, will be added on DAB+.
FM/UKW is not being switched off at this stage. The stations that can currently be heard on FM/UKW will continue to broadcast in that standard until further notice.
DAB+ is being added as an additional transmission platform. In some other countries, FM/UKW has already been switched off or such a move is under discussion, but this only makes sense once the large majority of listeners are using another way to receive radio.
