Police were alerted to a robbery on Rue Notre Dame on New Year’s Day at around 1:35am, during which two suspects allegedly stole a victim’s necklace after attacking them.
Later that evening, another victim reported that their phone had been stolen by criminals near the city centre.
One man, believed to be involved in both incidents, was apprehended during the investigation and is set to appear before an examining magistrate.
