A group of young men was reported to police in Esch-sur-Alzette on Wednesday evening over drug-related suspicions. A police patrol duly investigated, and although no drugs were discovered, one of the group was found to be in possession of an illegal weapon. Officers confiscated the weapon and launched an investigation.
In Kirchberg, a burglar was caught in the act on Tuesday night while attempting to rob a residence on Rue des Labours. The perpetrator ran off after being surprised by the homeowners, but was later caught by police. The public prosecutor’s office ordered his arrest and the man was brought before magistrates on Wednesday.
