A woman fell victim to a violent carjacking in Dippach on Sunday morning, leaving her shaken and requiring medical attention.
The incident occurred as the woman was driving from Route de Longwy toward the roundabout. Another vehicle collided with the rear of her car, prompting both drivers to pull over at a nearby bus stop to assess the damage. While they were filling in an amicable accident report, the three occupants of the other vehicle suddenly turned aggressive.
The assailants forcefully took the woman’s jacket and car keys, entered both vehicles–their own and the victim’s–and fled the scene with her stolen car. Emergency services treated the victim at the scene.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the car theft and assault.
