It was quite a spectacular intervention for Luxembourg’s rescuers, something usually only seen in dense mountainous terrain.
The woman had fallen on a path which was “too steep to be able to evacuate the patient by land in complete safety”, the firefighters reported, who called on the GRIMP team, the specialised Reconnaissance and Intervention Group.
First responders first stabilised the woman at the accident site. An Air Rescue helicopter then airlifted her to a nearby parking lot, where she could be attended to and taken to hospital.
The CGDIS posted two pictures of the rescue operation on social media.
