
A lorry and a car were involved in a collision on the B7 bridge near Schieren at 3.50pm on Tuesday, leaving one person injured. Traffic was diverted via the N7 as a result.

Stolen wallet in Mamer
On Wednesday afternoon, a theft was reported at a residence on Rue de la Libération, Mamer. According to reports, the suspect gained access to the house by asking the resident if he could use the toilet. Once the suspect had left, the resident noticed their wallet had been stolen. Police launched an unsuccessful search for the thief and opened an investigation.
Drink-driving
At around 4.15pm on Wednesday, two vehicles were involved in a full-frontal collision on Boulevard Pierre Werner, Neudorf. One person suffered injuries as a result and was taken to hospital. The driver of the second car was found to be over the legal alcohol limit and received a fine and provisional driving ban.
On Wednesday evening, police were notified of a car zigzagging across the CR165 in Kayl. The driver was pulled over and made to carry out a breathalyser test. Officers issued a driving ban following the positive result.
Shortly after midnight, a visibly intoxicated motorist collided with several vehicles on Place Benelux, Esch-sur-Alzette, after driving backwards. A police patrol picked up the drunken driver at the scene of the crash and confiscated his licence.
