During a press conference on Tuesday morning, General Manager Claude Strasser stated that Post wants to encourage people to make use of their accounts.
In addition, customers with an account balance of over €250,000 will have to pay negative interest in the future. However, according to the company, this will only affect around 100 people.
Post Luxembourg currently has deposits of €3 billion, compared to €1 billion ten years ago.
