Dräieck is made up of Luxembourg’s Red Cross, Caritas and Inter-Actions charities and was founded in January 2021.
An average of 90 people visit the day centre daily to benefit from a hot meal and shelter. The centre opens from midday until 3pm, offering a lifeline for people requiring somewhere warm during the daytime.
Over 100 people make use of the overnight accommodation, although there is capacity for around 250. Around 94% of the visitors are male, usually aged between 26 and 65 years. A shuttle bus operates every evening and morning to bring overnight guests to and from the shelter.
The winter shelter in Findel stayed open for 150 nights last winter. Each year, around 100 volunteers participate in the campaign, helping to organise and serve meals and welcome visitors.
