In her reply to a parliamentary question by MP Martine Hansen from the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV), Minister of Health Paulette Lenert had for instance stated that only 44% of people between 20 and 24 were fully vaccinated. However, the rate is actually just over 57%, the Ministry stated in a correction published on Tuesday.
In the age group between 12 and 17, around 51% are fully vaccinated. For adolescents up to the age of 19, the rate is over 64%. Meanwhile, over 57% of young adults up to the age of 24 are fully vaccinated, while the rate is just below 57% for those aged between 25 and 29.
The vaccination rates were initially reported incorrectly due to a “material error”. Specifically, the vaccination rates mentioned by the Minister on Monday only accounted for two-dose vaccines, meaning that people vaccinated with the Johnson&Johnson product were left out.
