The incident took place just before 9.30pm on Wednesday night, between the Leudelange north and Leudelange south exits on the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette.
Esch-sur-Alzette and Mamer ambulances attended the scene, accompanied by the Leudelange and Luxembourg City fire brigades.
