Earlier this morning, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported an accident between two vehicles on the N10 between Stadtbredimus and Hüttermühle at approximately 7.30pm on Wednesday. The driver involved tested positive for alcohol and, as a consequence, had their driving licence confiscated. The collision resulted in significant damage to the vehicles, with three individuals subsequently transported to the hospital for a precautionary check-up.
In a separate incident, at around 4am on Thursday, a police patrol identified a driver on Rue St. Zithe in Luxembourg City. Subsequent checks revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. As the situation escalated, the individual displayed aggressive behaviour on the street, prompting law enforcement to intervene. Due to the perceived threat to both themselves and others, the driver was apprehended and placed in a holding cell to sober up. A report about the incident was drawn up.
