It all started on Friday night, when the three young men assaulted a pedestrian in Steinsel to steal his watch.
The police was informed of the robbery when another burglary was reported in Bofferdange later that night, at which point police patrols were sent out to find the three suspects.
A first encounter occurred at a Lorentzweiler station, but the three youngsters managed to flee as soon as the police arrived. In the end, the three men were caught shoplifting in Luxembourg City on Friday night.
The investigation revealed that all three incidents relate back to the group of teenagers, and the public prosecutor’s office was informed. Given they are minors, all three have been placed in a security unit at the Dreiborn socio-educational centre.
