Various burglaries and thefts were reported to police in a number of locations over the weekend, with several people arrested.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, at around 2.30am, police were called to the Pfaffenthal area after reports of several suspicious individuals. The alleged perpetrators had broken a window and forced their way into a house. When officers arrived, several people immediately fled on foot through a fence.

Police launched a search straight away and managed to arrest three suspects, who were found with stolen items and burglary tools.

At around 9am on Sunday morning, another burglary was reported at a restaurant in the capital. According to police, one or more individuals had gained access to the restaurant through a window during the night and forced open the till.

Also on Sunday evening at around 9pm, a theft took place at a petrol station in Strassen. A member of staff recognised a customer who had allegedly driven off without paying for fuel a few days earlier. When the employee was briefly distracted, the suspect made off with two bottles of alcohol. A theft report was filed against her.
