The Grand Ducal police intervened in several separate incidents over the weekend, including a knife assault in Luxembourg-Eich, a burglary in Bonnevoie, and a restraining order violation in Esch-sur-Alzette.

At around 6.40pm on Sunday, a man was reported in Esch-sur-Alzette for going to his partner’s home, thereby violating an administrative restraining order. The suspect was arrested on the spot by a police patrol. On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, he was placed in custody and brought before an investigating judge on Monday.

Police further report a burglary at a single-family home on Rue Pierre Brandenbourger in Luxembourg City’s Bonnevoie district. The presumed culprit broke a window but was caught in the act and arrested on the spot. During a subsequent police check, officers found cash on the man. On the order of the public prosecutor, he was brought before an investigating judge.

Later on Sunday, a police patrol came across a physical altercation between several individuals near a petrol station in Luxembourg-Eich. Upon seeing the officers, three young men attempted to flee but were immediately apprehended. According to police, the three suspects assaulted the victim and demanded that he empty his pockets while brandishing a knife. The weapon was seized, and a report was filed on the order of the public prosecutor.
