On Wednesday evening, Luxembourg police carried out a traffic check in the Gilsdorf area, focusing primarily on seat belt compliance and the use of mobile phones while driving.

During the operation, officers identified ten motorists using their phones behind the wheel. Each offender was fined €250 and had four points deducted from their driving licence.

In addition to the traffic check, police reported several burglaries across Luxembourg. One incident occurred late Wednesday afternoon on Rue du Moulin in Mensdorf, followed by another in the evening at a single-family home on Rue Pierre-Eloi Schoué in Luxembourg City. Authorities have launched investigations into both cases.
