The forecast for the coming days points to a real rise in temperatures, along with a clear return of sunshine that will give the country an early taste of summer. A little patience will still be needed, however.
According to Meteolux, temperatures over the next two days are not expected to rise above 14°C to 16°C at the warmest point of the day, with some rain still possible across Luxembourg.
From Thursday, however, milder weather will set in, with highs of around 22°C, before temperatures rise more sharply. On Friday, the mercury could climb to 25°C under mostly clear skies.
According to various models, the bright spell should continue over the weekend, with 27°C expected on Saturday and 29°C on Sunday, in mostly sunny conditions and with light winds.
Meteolux, however, remains more cautious, forecasting highs of around 25°C on Friday.
The trend is not expected to stop there. Early next week, models suggest the dry and warm weather will continue, with highs remaining close to 29°C until Wednesday.
Sunshine will largely dominate, with only occasional thin cloud. It will be a stable, mild, and bright spell, in sharp contrast to the damp and cool weather of recent days.
This summery interlude, which could last nearly a week, will give Luxembourg a particularly generous early taste of summer and a welcome reprieve from the grey skies to which we are accustomed.
