City Breakfast"Stad lieft", census, mobility week and Vel'oh

Around 850,000 visited Fun um Glacis, the mini Schueberfouer, this year. This was one of the topics discussed at the City Breakfast.

The “Stad lieft” programme organised over the summer was generally considered a success, with the “Kiermes wéi fréier”, old-fashioned fairground, being particularly appreciated.

The upcoming census was also discussed, with the city looking for 500 census agents to help citizens fill out the forms. To apply, you need to be 18 years old and speak at least one of the three official languages.

The Pedibus project was introduced as part of the European Mobility Week. This allows children on Cents and Bonnevoie to walk to school accompanied by an adult, with the aim of reducing car traffic around schools. Twenty children are taking part so far. The hope is this number will increase.

Another mobility project is the Vel’OH! network of rental bikes, which has been expanded to the communes of Mamer, Niederanven and Leudelange.
