On Wednesday evening, police received reports of an injured person at Differdange train station. Officers administered treatment at the scene, before taking the injured party to hospital for further assistance.
According to initial reports, a fight broke out earlier in the day between one of the victim’s acquaintances and two other people in Belval. The altercation turned physical, resulting in the victim suffering a minor stab wound to the stomach. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
On Thursday evening, police reported a brawl in the Gare district of Luxembourg City, as several people became embroiled in a physical fight on Rue Joseph Junck. Officers found the victim nearby and pursued the two aggressors on foot. Both individuals were eventually caught, displaying drunken and aggressive behaviour and refusing to cooperate with police. They were both taken into custody overnight as they were deemed to represent a risk to themselves and others.
