67 of these were newly-infected patients, while 97 were people who had already received HIV treatment abroad.
In 2021, there were 51 new infections.
According to the Ministry’s press release - published to mark European Testing Week - more women were affected by the increase in Luxembourg, compared to men. The campaign is designed to raise awareness and increase testing efforts for hepatitis and HIV.
